Meeting needs. Sharing hope.

GPCO works to make quality resources available to everyone in our community, so families can thrive. We look for gaps in community resources and step in to fill them.

This holiday season

Sharing the love of Christ with our neighbours

Christmas is the story of God coming close to us in Jesus. This Thanksgiving and Christmas, GPCO is carrying that love out to seniors, to neighbours sleeping out in the cold, and to people staying at Haven for Hope. There’s a place for you to help.

Thanksgiving meals for our seniors

Thanksgiving week · Thu, Nov 26

We’re giving H-E-B gift cards to the senior residents of Christian Living Apartments, so each of them can enjoy a Thanksgiving meal and groceries for the holidays. It’s a small gift that says: you are remembered, and you are loved.

Winter warmth under the bridge

Sun, Dec 20 · 1:30 PM

Our teens are collecting hats, gloves, socks and blankets. Then, alongside GPCO and our friends at Northwest Hills Global Methodist Church, they’ll hand them out to neighbours experiencing homelessness under the bridge. Warm hands, and a reminder that God sees every person.

A Christmas morning meal

Fri, Dec 25 · 4:00–10:00 AM

On Christmas morning we join Northwest Hills Global Methodist Church to prepare a home-cooked Christmas meal for Haven for Hope, and GPCO brings homemade Christmas cookies to share. Start Christmas Day the way Jesus came: to serve.

Our why

Why GPCO exists

Jesus taught the crowds and healed the sick, and He fed the hungry too. He cared for the whole person. We follow His example by meeting people’s physical needs and, for anyone who wants it, their spiritual needs as well.

Our mission

To fulfill God’s call of service to humanity through transformative outreach initiatives, by identifying gaps in community resources while soliciting meaningful engagement to improve outreach outcomes.

“Freely ye have received, freely give.”
Matthew 10:8 (KJV)

Body and soul

We give food, backpacks and health care, and we connect people with prayer, a listening ear and spiritual guidance.

No strings attached

Help is never conditional on faith, church attendance or listening to a message. Spiritual care is offered, never required.

Love in action

“Let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.” 1 John 3:18

  • Access to basic needs and services for low-income and uninsured families

60 backpacks for transplant kids

Transplants for Children (TFC) is a San Antonio non-profit that surrounds transplant families with support: scholarships, family and individual therapy, and lodging for families who travel for a transplant. Their transplant recipients range from 1 to 26 years old.

When TFC’s program director asked for help before the new school year, GPCO provided 60 backpacks so their immunocompromised children and teens could go back to school prepared.

  • 60backpacks
  • 1–26ages served by TFC

We wanted to reach out and say thank you! I can’t express our gratitude and appreciation for Grace Pavilion’s partnership. With your help, we were able to help so many of our transplant kids and teens.

As you can imagine, going through transplantation can become a struggle, so most of our families have a hard time making the funds to provide these necessities for the kids. Our transplant moms and dads were very thankful as well.
